Italia 1: Juventus’ Fabio Quagliarella earns more than 50 million euros from his contract with Inter article Inter Milan are the top earners in the Premier League, but only two players are earning more than their peers, according to the latest transfer market statistics released by Football Italy.
Inter Milan have the most earners at the club with 37 million euros in total, followed by Manchester City with 24 million euros.
Meanwhile, Manchester City are the only other club in the top five with at least one player earning more.
Inter Milan’s Brazilian defender Fabio Guimaraes is the biggest winner, earning 45 million euros for his new contract, while his former Manchester City teammate Fernandinho has the second highest salary of all the players at Inter, earning 37 million.
It was revealed earlier this month that Inter Milan were on track to pay out 50 million for their Brazilian international.
The latest figures show that the likes of Manchester City’s Fernandinho and Juventus’ David Silva have more money in their accounts than Juventus’ Alessandro Nesta, Inter Milan’s Diego Milito and Lazio’s Leonardo Bonucci.
Juventus’ Alessio Romagnoli earns 35 million euros on his new deal with the Bianconeri, while Lazio defender Andrea Ranocchia has a salary of just over 40 million.
The Italian giants have been the top-earners in the last six seasons with Juve having netted more than 60 million euros, with Romagnolo earning almost 40 million euros this term.
“The new transfer market is much better than last year,” Juve coach Massimiliano Allegri said.
“The new contracts and salaries will allow us to compete better in the transfer market.
All the players will have their paydays, which will be more or less the same as last season.
We will not lose players in this transfer window.
We are prepared for that.”
The figures for players on loan are not available for Italy due to a contractual conflict with Serie A.
