Trump’s “White House Counsel” Michael Cohen, who is known for his work on behalf of Trump and his family, is now suing The New York Times for publishing his testimony.
In his lawsuit, Cohen alleges that the Times failed to disclose his testimony, which he says was false.
In addition, he claims that the story was part of a “pattern of deliberate and malicious falsehoods against him” and that the newspaper has been “a party to these crimes.”
In response to the suit, Cohen tweeted, “The NYT is a liar.
They have lost my testimony.
They are a disgrace to journalism.”
He added, “Trump was never guilty of a crime.
I have no evidence he committed a crime.”
The lawsuit alleges that Cohen’s testimony was false because, “as a result of its publication, [the Times] misled its readers and misled the public.”
The Times responded to the lawsuit by saying it “has taken a long look at Mr. Cohen’s complaint and concluded that there is no merit in his claims.”
